Chicago Marathon Training – Week 5

Mon – 6.07, 9:32 pace
Wed – 6.51, 9:04 pace including 4×800 intervals
Thu – 3.1, 9:20 pace
Fri – 14.01, 10:19 pace

29,69 total miles for the week.  A trip to Indianapolis and the Brickyard 400 forced me to move up my LSD again (naturally after a 9:30 PM softball game) and skip one of my scheduled 5 mile runs.  The exciting thing was a long run of 14 miles – my longest run to date.  I was pretty tired and sore after the run, but recovered very well on Saturday and Sunday and have no lingering affects.

While the last couple miles of my long run were tough, I honestly feel that 20 miles is doable.  My first 20 will be in 6 weeks.

It’s almost go time!
